| The Marijuana Prize for Genetically Modified Marijuana Food |
|
Why is this prize necessary? We feel that this prize is necessary for a number of reasons.
There are any number of other plants that could be eaten or vaporized to provide medicine. Modern technology makes it possible for patients to have their medicine in an unlimited variety of new forms. They may find it convenient to just mow the front lawn and use a conventional marijuana vaporizer to vaporize the lawn clippings. Many people love the smell of fresh cut lawns -- which may make the perfect flavor for their morning medicine for some. Likewise, the genes could conceivably be integrated into flowers for an even greater variety of medicinal fragrances. Let's make a new rule for society: Marijuana medicine should come in as many flavors as possible.
This technology could produce multiple forms of “marijuana”, none of which can be readily recognized by law enforcement. It will effectively destroy the ability of law enforcement to persecute medical marijuana patients – even for those patients who do not reside in states that allow medical marijuana. Law enforcement can prosecute these people now because marijuana has a distinctive appearance – cops can tell what it is just by looking at it. They won’t be able to distinguish Cannabis Corn from ordinary corn growing in a garden. Neither will they be able to tell stoner seeds from regular seeds. Medical marijuana users will finally be free from fear of prosecution.
It is not easy to grow good quality medical marijuana. Any number of problems may ruin the crop before it matures. Many common food crops are much easier for the average person to grow than marijuana. If the marijuana genes are implanted into ordinary lawn grass, the process of growing marijuana could be as easy as watering the lawn. It is long overdue. Let’s face it folks, there are some brilliant people out there growing fabulous strains of marijuana, but they haven’t really reached the modern plateaus of science. A little work in the laboratory will do wonders. |
