Among the companies manufacturing these over-the-counter remedies were Parke Davis (Casadein, Colic Mixture, Veterinary, Utroval), Eli Lilly (Dr. Brown Sedative Tablets, Syrup Tolu Mixture, Syrup Lobelia) and Squibb (Corn Collodium). Cannabis was finally removed from the US Pharmacopoeia and National Formulary in 1941.
