The nova-Institute in
Cologne, Germany, will organize the four-day international technological-scientific
symposium Bioresource Hemp (Biorohstoff Hanf) '97 held from February 27 -
March 2, 1997. As in 1995, it will be held at the Frankfurt Exhibition Center, as
part of Bio Fach, the world's largest trade fair for environmentally friendly consumer

more than 60 presentations by hemp experts from around the world. According to the
nova Institute, speakers from several countries, including France, Italy, the Netherlands,
Australia, Finland, Germany, Hungary and Ukraine where considerable experiences with hemp
research and implementation have been gained since 1995, have committed to presenting
their findings at the conference. The results from major research projects will be
summarized in special presentations, and selected subjects will be covered in a parallel
session and in smaller groups. The official languages of the conference will be
English and German. Simultaneous translation of all main-session presentations will
be provided. A particular synergism will be created by the setting of the
Bioresource Hemp '97 symposium parallel to Bio Fach '97. Numerous firms involved in
the hemp industry are expected to display their recent products. Bioresource Hemp
'97 is sponsored by Sunder & Rottner (Organizers of Bio Fach), the hanfnet e.V.
