Discount Prescription Drug
Not everyone has the luxury of having good, thorough health insurance in the United States. Many people pay a lot of money out of pocket each and every day, week, or month to get the prescription drugs that they need to survive. Fortunately there are ways to get discount prescription drug prices that can save you and your family a lot of money. One way is to check into your current health insurance company’s prescription drug plan.
Find out what your co pays are, and see what the difference is between brand name medications and generic. Also, plans change and sometimes you may not be made aware. Give them a call and find out if they’ve adopted a new, cheaper plan. If you are like many Americans and have no insurance at all, look into Medicaid or Medicare as an alternative. Both of these programs offer up discount prescription drug prices to those in need.
If neither of the above options is feasible, there is still some hope. Some companies will give you a discount prescription drug card. This card can usually be used at almost any major pharmacy chain. The card in some cases is even free. It is recommended if you do have this card that you notify your pharmacist before picking up the prescription just to be sure they will in fact accept the card. Another way to get discount prescription drug prices is to order them online. Most of the time if you would like to get an inexpensive price, you’ll need to order them from Mexico, Canada, or somewhere overseas. Just be sure you do some good research before buying, and check to make sure that the company you are ordering from is 100% legitimate. There are ways to get around the high cost of medicines although it may take a little bit more effort to do so.
