Xenical
There have been many different products that have made false claims over the years in regards to providing a successful, over the counter weight loss product. Generally, these products were either ineffective such as the notorious “Grapefruit 45 Diet” or outright dangerous such as the various ephedrine laced products. So, in order to find a more reliable and safer product, people have turned to doctor approved prescription medications to combat obesity.
Contrary to what many fad diets will attempt to lead people to believe, there is only one way to lose excess fat: calorie reduction. That is, take in less calories and weight will drop. This is the principle that all prescription diet pills follow: curb appetite and one will eat less and intake less calories as a result. While this seems reasonable enough, the fact of the matter is that restricting the amount of food one eats can have a negative effect on metabolism and generally results in the body cannibalizing muscle tissue instead of fat. Unfortunately, for many years, there was no other alternative on the diet pill market until recently. The recent alternative that has exploded on the market is Xenical.
Xenical is the only prescription diet pill that does not inhibit hunger as it does not affect the sensory components of the brain. Instead, Xenical blocks the absorption of fat by the fat. So, if one eats a fatty diet, a portion of the fat will be blocked from absorption. As a result, a calorie deficit will occur.
As such, Xenical offers a safe, sane and, most importantly, a reliable alternative to the other diet prescriptions on the market. Furthermore, Xenical is safe enough that the FDA has approved Xenical as an over the counter medicine so it will soon be available without a prescription. Not a bad deal and not a bad product.
