Is It Possible to Find Cheap Drugs?
As we age, most people find that they need to take some type of prescription medication. Whether you find your cholesterol is high or you need medication for your diabetes, there always seems to be some drug we need to take. But prescription medicine can break the bank. How do you find the cheap drugs you need at a cost you can afford?
The first move you need to make towards finding cheap drugs is to talk to your physician. If you have a prescription plan that does not pay full cost or you do not have any insurance to pay for the medication, talk to your doctor about your concerns. If nothing else, he may be able to prescribe a generic version of the drug. Generic drugs have the same strength and potency as the brand name, but they are more affordable.
Some physicians may know of public and private assistance programs that offer prescription medication to patients who cannot afford them. The Partnership for Prescription Assistance has recently launched a program to tell doctors of the assistance programs. Ask your doctor if he has any information about this partnership and ask him or her how if it may be able to help you find cheap drugs.
You may also try shopping at an online pharmacy to find cheap drugs. But, you want to make sure the cheap drugs they are selling are actually the drug you need. Do some online research to find a reliable online pharmacy. Find out if they offer a physical address and a phone number, at which they can be reached. Check to see if they offer some type of evidence that they are a licensed pharmacy.
Some patients find that they can find cheap drugs over the border in Mexico or Canada. However, the cheap drugs you buy in these countries may or may not have been manufactured in the United States, so you may or may not be getting what the package says it is. Also, it may be illegal for you to bring the drug back over the border.
