Generic Valium
Generic Valium can save patients tons of money. Some patients may think that generic drugs are not as good as name brand ones but this is not true. The FDA requires that companies that make generic drugs meet the same standards that the name brand drugs do. There are some drugs that it would not be safe to switch from the generic to the name brand but those drugs are far and few in-between.
Why is generic Valium available and why is it generic? Well, Valium was created by Leo Sternbach and Hoffman-La Roche in 1963. When a new drug is created, a patent is put on the drug and other companies are not able to replicate the drug for a certain amount of time. After the patent is up, other companies can make replicas of the original drug but they must call it something else. That is why most prescriptions for Valium that are filled these days are filled with diazepam.
Generic Valium is not one of the prescriptions medications that would cause a reaction if a patient switched from Valium to diazepam, the generic version of Valium. Therefore generic valium is safe to use and it will help patients save money.
The fact that cheaper ingredients are used does not mean that they are less effective. It just simply means that the pharmaceutical companies can not sue the brand name of the drug when they make generic. Although the same effects will occur when using the generic drug it must be called something else. Thus generic Valium is just as safe as Valium.
The benefits of buying generic Valium are immense! Patients get the same effects of name brand Valium without having to pay extra money. Spending less is always ideal, especially when it comes to prescription medications. Why pay more for a name? Get generic Valium and save a ton.
