Viagra is a great drug that can bring relief to those that have erectile dysfunction. However, just like any drug, there are some people that should not take Viagra.
While Viagra is safe for most men to take, there are a few a categories of men that should stay away from a Viagra prescription. This is why it is important to disclose a complete medical history to the doctor before taking a Viagra prescription.
Men that have had strokes or heart attacks should not get a Viagra prescription. There have been some instances of heart and stroke being a serious side effect of Viagra usage. With this in mind it is not recommended that men that have already suffer through things ailments take Viagra because they are prone to a recurrence.
Men that have a history of genetic related vision diseases also should not take Viagra. There are hereditary degenerative retinal disorders that do not react well when Viagra is introduced into the body.
Hypotension, low blood pressure is also a condition that is not favorable for a Viagra prescription. Viagra should not be taken if a doctor has restricted sexual activity because of heart issues.
Some of regular side effects of taking a Viagra prescription include dizziness, sneezing, flushing, prolonged erections, photophobia and palpitations of the heart. Most of these side effects will go away with time and the majority of people that get a Viagra prescription do not stop taking it because of the mild side effects.
Before getting a Viagra prescription one must be needed. Some people have taken to using Viagra simply because they believe it might enhance their sexual experience. This has not been proven in any studies and recreational usage of a drug that can be dangerous is not wise. A Viagra prescription should only be taken for the disorders it was designed to treat.
