Drug Testing
Drug use and abuse has become a concerning issue in the work force, because of this, many professional companies have decided to mandate drug testing for their new employees before they start working for the company. Drug screening, or drug testing, is usually done at off of the work site, and is usually done be a medical professional at a specialized drug testing facility.
For non-severe testing methods, drug testing can sometimes be done on a home test card and results of the test can be gathered at home instead of the testing location, however they tend to not be as accurate, turning out more positive results than negative results. Because there is such a digression in accuracy of these at home drug testing methods, drug testing results are usually sent to a lab where the test sample go through a gas chromatography/mass spectrometry process, also known as a GCMS; or the drug testing results undergoes a liquid chronography or immunoassay analysis test. Drug testing results that are tested with these last three products are much more accurate and credible than the home screening testing products.
While in an idealistic world, there would be no drug users, and the results of the drug testing process would be accurate, however, it is commonly known that urine sample substitution and other forms of adulterations do frequently occur at testing facilities. In fact, as mandatory regulations of drug testing becomes more common, people have started to make profits out of creating products that help unworthy people pass their drug testing obligations. While this is not so ethical, many people choose to try and outsmart the testing facilities by taking these alternative products.
While some people have cheated their way through the drug testing process, drug testing has helped many many employers hire more credible people at their companies and not worry about drug problems arising within their company's facilities.
