Levitra vs Cialis
Erectile dysfunction (ED), sometimes referred to as impotence, is a sexual dysfunction which causes men to have difficulty obtaining and keeping an erection. There are many different causes of this condition, one of them being diabetes. Yet some cases have proven to be caused by psychological problems. Psychological causes are obviously far easier to treat than those caused by physiological problems, a simple placebo may be all one needs. But no fear, there are many drugs on the market that can help those suffering from the physiological ED. Two such prescription drugs on the Market are Levitra and Cialis, but which has proven more effective? Let’s take a look at Levitra vs Cialis and decide which has the least amount of harmful side effects.
Levitra’s main ingredient consists of Vardenfil, a PDE5 inhibitor. Side effects caused from Vardenfil use are abdominal pain, back pain, photosensitivity, abnormal vision, eye pain, facial edema, hypertension, palpitation, tachycardia, arthralgia, myalgia, rash, itch, priapism, and in some rare cases even heart attack. Vardenfil should also not be taken if the patient is using any kind of nitrate medication, it has the tendency to produce a very low blood pressure. With a physician consultation prior to use these side effects are greatly reduced and in most cases not produced at all, the physician would never prescribe Levitra to a patient at high risk of experiencing any of these side effects. On the other hand Cialis’ active ingredient consists of Tadalafil. Tadalafil, also a PDE5 inhibitor, was the third erectile drug to be placed on the market, so it is relatively new and not as widely understood as Levitra. The most common side effects of using Tadalafil are headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. These side effects usually go away after a few hours. Back pain and muscle aches can occur 12 to 24 hours after taking the drug, and usually disappear after 48 hours.
It is also important not to use nitrate drugs at the same time as Cialis. Levitra may appear to be more risky vs Cialis, but Levitra has been on the market longer and has had the opportunity to produce a greater number of side effects, not necessarily a greater quantity. Think about it rationally, we take risks everyday in every activity we engage in. The major difference in Levitra vs Cialis, is that Levitra needs to be taken half an hour to one hour before the sexual activity is to take place and Cialis can be taken anytime, but sexually activity must take place within 36 hours of taking Cialis. After 36 hours Cialis loses its affect. Levitra has proven to be a number one choice among those in committed relationships who know when they are going to take the plunge, they don’t have as much uncertainty of when sexual activity will be taking place as non committed couples. Cialis has often been consumed and then never used.
When taking a look back at Levitra vs Cialis, the user mainly needs to take the advice of their physician. Levitra has many side effects but have proven to be rare in occurrence when used properly, and no more than once a day. Taladafil on the other hand, can only be taken once every 36 hours, and although not on the market as long as Levitra has proven slightly inconsistent. Some patients have found it not to actually work for all 36 hours, leaving them in the dust. All in all Levitra vs Cialis in clinical tests has only proven to vary in comparison from patient to patient, therefore trial and error maybe the only option, but an option nonetheless.
