Can Ultram Tramadol Help Relieve Pain?
Ultram Tramadol is known as a narcotic pain reliever. Ultram is one of the brand names that it is sold under. Tramadol is what the generic version is called. If you are in moderate to severe pain round-the-clock, you may want to ask your doctor if Ultram Tramadol can provide you with pain relief.
Ultram Tramadol is about as potent as morphine. Oral doses can range from 50 to 400 mg daily. Intravenous doses can go as high as 600 mg daily. The drug should only be taken as prescribed by your doctor. If you experience nausea after taking Ultram Tramadol, take it with food or milk.
There are a few things you should notify your doctor about when you ask for Ultram Tramadol. Please tell him or her is you have ever been addicted to any other type of drug or alcohol. You should not take Ultram Tramadol if you drink alcohol, take illegal street drugs, take sedatives or tranquilizers, take medication for depression or anxiety, or take medication for mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.
If you suffer from epilepsy or have had any type of seizures in the past, please notify your doctor of this. Some people have experiences seizures when taking Ultram and if you have had seizures in the past, you chances of experiencing them may be more likely when taking Ultram Tramadol.
Tell your doctor if you have ever been allergic to any type of drug you have taken. Also tell him or her if you have had kidney disease, liver disease, a history of depression or mental illness, or any type of stomach disorder. While Ultram Tramadol is less likely to cause stomach irritation than other opiates, it is possible.
Ultram Tramadol can cause a dependency especially when used for an extended time. Withdrawal symptoms may include anxiety, sweating, diarrhea, and shaking.
