Drugs Generic
Drugs generic are simply drugs that are the bioequivalent of a brand name drug. Its properties are exactly like that of a brand-name drug, having the same active ingredients and therefore causing the same effects on the human body. It is usually sold at a cheaper price than its brand-name counterpart.
Although there is a misconception that drugs generic are inferior compared to brand-name drugs, this is nothing more than propaganda. Drugs generic are every bit as good as their more expensive counterparts in terms of efficacy. Overall, in fact, we may even judge drugs generic as being better due to the fact that they are available to a wider spectrum of people and economic capacities.
However, note that not all brand-name drugs have generic counterparts – yet. The U.S. government allows companies who develops new medicine to take out a twenty-year patent of their medicinal inventions. This in effect provides the innovating company with a temporary monopoly of the drug, allowing them to recoup the costs they incurred while developing the product. This policy is an incentive to drug companies to keep developing newer and better medicine, giving them the chance to profit from their efforts before anyone else does. After the twenty years elapses, however, anyone with knowledge of the medicinal recipes can legally copy, manufacture, and distribute them to the public.
These days, it is very easy to buy drugs generic, especially online. With the rise of online pharmacies, you rarely even have to leave your own home to get the medicine that you need. As long as you have a computer and an internet connection, you’re pretty much set. Drugs generic are cheap as they are, but many online pharmacies still offer discounts and rebates when you do business with them. Of course, you will have to check the reliability of a pharmacy before you decide to buy medicine from them. Other than that, buying drugs generic online is very advantageous to you.
