Home Drug Test
Many parents are worried about illegal drug abuse today. When children start acting withdrawn and stop communicating to their parents, drug abuse may be the problem. The Parents’ Resource Institute for Drug Education estimates that about one out of four teenagers use illegal street drugs once a month. Children abuse drugs for many reasons such as depression and peer pressure. In order for the parents to be sure drug abuse is the problem, many of them resort to using a home drug test.
Even though you may not be taking drugs, if you are acting different, your parents might think so. Because home drug tests can easily be purchased online, they may ask you to take one. There are three different types of home drug tests that can be purchased: urine, saliva, and hair. If you have not been doing drugs, you should have nothing to worry about. If you have done an illegal street drug within the last three days, chances are that traces of it will show up on the test. You will not get a positive result on a drug test just by being around secondhand marijuana smoke.
Many resources online tell you how to avoid taking a home drug test and having it return positive. Most of these are myths. You cannot drink coffee, or juice to flush the traces of drugs out of your system. Taking water purification tablets will not work. Never drink vinegar to try to pass a drug test. Some people think Niacin will work, but that can dehydrate you. There are many shampoos, pills, and liquids sold online that promise to help you pass a home drug test, but most at ineffective and may be harmful.
If you know you are going to be given a home drug test, drinking purified water is the best way to try to detoxify your system.
